Pricing Your Greeting Cards for Wholesale

A short guide to getting your Greeting Card pricing right

How do you price your greeting cards for sale to wholesale customers? Well, luckily enough there’s a formula you can use.

This may come as a shock, but you don’t decide the sale price of your cards, the general retail market decides, and to find out what that price is, you need to visit some shops and have a look at what they are charging for similar size and style of cards. Take some notes and bring those figures home with you.

Also note that I’m talking about independent card and gift shops (Large Chains and Supermarkets have very different pricing models, they use a system called brokerage which will have a post of it’s own soon, so for now, just be aware not all stockists are equal)
